HERE COMES THE SUN!

This summer will be the best summer I'll ever live. After the SELECTIVITAT exams we are going to Mallorca to spend there a week with all the class. I hope to enjoy our time there with all our friends.

After the hollidays in Mallorca I'll start working in Sant Pere Pescador in the same place where I worked last year, selling fruits in a shop next to a restaurant called Ca la Teresa. I hope to enjoy my time there like last year, I had a wonderful summer!

In September a group of friends that I met in Canada are coming to Barcelona and I will go there to visit them. During all those years I've been in touch with them but I'm very excited to see them again. We spend a month and a half together and at the end we were like "brothers and sisters", so It's like meeting again. 

I'm so excited to finish batxillerat just for live all those experiences!! 

HOLIDAYS IN THE BASQUE COUNTRY

The first week of April I went to the Basque Country to visit my family. I went there with my mum and my dad, and my brother stayed in Vilamacolum because he was on his exam's week. 

In the Basque Country I stayed in my aunt's house, she lives in Oiola neighbourhood and it belongs to San Sebastian. The first day we went to my uncle's restaurant and there we met all the family (cousins, aunts, uncles) we were 20 eating there.

The second day we went to Tolosa (Xabi Alonso's town) and there we went to a market to buy some typical basque things. There we met my aunt Montsita and my cousins Eider and Maitane and we went by car to the city center in Sant Sebastian and we went shopping. 

The third day we went to my other's aunt's house there we met with my cousins Iñigo, Nagore, Ion, Eneko, Iker, Julen and Maialen we had lunch together and we went to the town next from wher they live and we went to see horse racings.

I had an awsome time there! I love my cousins and I love the place.

INFORMAL LETTER

Hi Ronnie,

I think that spending a couple of weeks with you would be a great idea but I have to talk about it with my parents but I think that they will agree.

If my parents say yes, I would prefer to come at the end of August because it's the time when we have less work in the restaurant.

About the room, I would prefer to stay in the spare room you have im the apartement because like this, I will do the same things as you do everyday!

What you said about going to the beach or doing other things, I prefer to do other thingd like visiting sime churches or museums or doing differents sports like snorkeling or kaiaking.

I'm counting the days to be there with you!

HAVE YOU GOT AN UNUSUAL HOBBY?

My name is Joana and I'm 17 years old. I have a very unusual hobby and I call it "DICTIOREADING". In my free time I love reading all kind of ditionaries from the ones in English to others in Suahili.

This hobby offers me wisdom and I feel more intelligent, because when I'm reading it, all the knowledge cames in my mind and I feel like if I was the wisest person in the whole world.

Next year I won't have enough time to read diionaries because I'll start university but I will try to find time anywhere to read my dictionaries.

To sum up I invite all the people to take as a hobby the "DICTIOREADING" because they will find their cleverness.

Hello Kay,

What you said about buying things on the internet, I think that it is a good idea because it is cheper than if you buy it in a shop and morover if you order is higher than 50 euros, they don't usually charge you more for transport.

What your friend told you about buying CDs and books is true but you can also buy clothes or shoes because they are usually half price. Another thing that you can buy too are sheets, if you tell them the exact size of your bed.

About sending money throug the post, I don't think it's necessary because, when you finish ordering, they ask you to pay by credit card and furthermore if you send the money by post it can be stolen.

In the end, you don't have to worry if your comend gets damaged during the transport because you can send it back imediately.

Aeronautic management or hotel management?

The end of the term is getting close and we have to think what we are going to study and I have an enormous dilemma, I don't know either to study aeronautic management or hotel management.

On the one hand, the subjects in both degrees are very interesting but there are some of them that frighten me like commercial law or aviation law, but in general both degrees are awsome. An other thing that I don't like about studding both degrees are that if I studdy aeronautic management I'll have to go to live in Sabadell and if I study hotel management I'll have to live in "la vila universitària" not in Barcelona center.

On the other hand if I study hotel management and instead of studing just four years, I study five, I will have a degree on hotel management and another degree on tourism. If I study hotel management I'll have "practicum" each year not only in fourth and I have a compulsory "erasmus".

What can I do?? It's diffucult to chose it, and I just have a month to decide it!! CAN YOU HELP ME?

MY HOBBY: COOKING

When I was a child my dream was to be a cook. As I grew up, I've changed my way of thinking but my old dream stills being on my mind. Nowadays I caught my old dream and I make it a hobby. During my free time I like cooking desrts and appetizers. My best cake is the 3 chocolat cake. The first time I did this cake it was a complete desaster, I forogt to add yeast and it didn't grew up. Now I'm an expert doing this cake. Morover other cakes that I love cooking too are: muffins, birthday cakes, cookies...The appetizers that I cook are: quiches, potatoes omeletes, crackers...

This yera for Genís 16th birthday my mother and I cooked for 50 persons. I did all the appetizers and the birtday cake. Unfortunately I haven't got any photos of the appetizers and the birthday cakes!!

Currently, when it's the birthday of some of my friends I'm in charge of maiking their cake. I always ask what they want but they always let me choose what I want.

PD: I can't find more photos of all the cakes I've done.

A SATURDAY NIGHT WITH "THE FAMILY"

Yesterday (Saturday the 2nd), our friends group had a dinner at Nil's house. We spend a great time there. Like always I was late and everybody was waiting for me. But I was late for a good reason, I was cooking some potatoes omelets so when I get there we start eating the omelets, some "pa amb tomata", and grilled meat. After the dinner we spend a great time dancing in the living room. Finally when it was midnight we went to Waikiki (a disco in Empuriabrava).

Our group of friends is like a family so we call ourselves "la family". This family is composed by Artur, Carlos, Albert, Kevin, Nil, Emanuel, Bala, Mali, Eva Marina, Homa, Fato and I.

I hope to spend a lot of years more next to them, because we spend really cool moments all together.

PURY-CONSTY HOLIDAYS

Each year since 2000 our friend's group during the "purissima" holidays we go to a a rural house during about four days. We are five families with four members in each family so we are 20 in a house. The first five years we went to Vilallonga de Ter, next year we went to Can Toni Gros and since 2006 we spend those holidays in Sant Joan de les Abadesses. 

The house we have in Sant Joan de les Abadesses is divided in three floors. In the first floor there is an enormous garge, a room where we have the washing mashine and another big room where we have a "futbolin", a pool table and a pingpong table. In the second floor there is a tolet and a bathroom, the kitchen, the hall where we play table games, the living room, and the dining room. Finally in the third floor there are two bathrooms and 8 rooms, there is a room for each couple, a room for the boys, another for the girls and the last one for the ones who just come one or two days.

The first day we spend there we divide all the house chores. The boys and fathers are in charge of cleaning all the first floor and they are in charge of recollecting wood for the heater and the girls and mothers are in charge of cleaning the second floor and we are in charge of cooking too. The ones who doesen't want to do those things are in charge of setting the table. 

I hope to spend more years going there because now we are like a big family and I don't want to lose everithing we have done there such as excursions in Ripoll or in Camprodon.

RESEARCH PROJECT

My research project topic is LOGISTICS. I choose this topic because it's very related on what I want to study at the university and I thought that it could be like a little prepearing for me. At the biginning I wanted to do a Market Study (estudi de mercat), this topis is related on logistics. My theacher told me that a Market Study is very general and she told me to do my research project on Logistics because it's the first one in the high school, and I accept it!!!! Now that I'm finishing it, I'm always thinking why I chose thid topic because all the information I found was in english so I had to translate it to Catalan I most of the information was wrong so I had to go to Barcelona to the National Library to take some books to contrast all the information.
Now I think that I have done a brilliant job but I spend so many time in front of the computer reading and reading.

1st TERM REFLECTION

At the end of every term I like to do a Self evaluation to see what I have to improve or what I have to change. 

To start my self evaluation, I want to say that for the next ter I will not leave the blog for the last moment. If you do things at the last moment it can happend that you don't have enough time to do it or you don't have enough inspiration or so many things.

For the next term I have to improve my mark on Spanish History and Filosophy because I have a five on History and I failed Filosophy. I want to finish batxillerat with a minimum mark of seven so I have to raise my marks!!! 

I very happy with my marks on Economics and Maths because I have an eight on Economics and a seven on Maths so I can be vey proud of my marks on those subjects this term!!!

MY SUMMER

I spend all my summer working on a fruit shop in Sant Pere Pescador. I worked from nine to one and from four to eight, from Monday to Saturday. At the biginning it was a bit hard, but then it was like my house. Apart from working, I hanged out with my friends too. We went to waikiki, to chic, we spend Sundays sunbathing on the beach, we played beach volley with deutch "guiris" and we did more amazing things. On the 9th of September, my family and I went to Barcelona to visit the famili and we stayed ther until the 11th for the protest march. That day was amazing, I felt like an ant in the middle of an enormous forest. 
I wanted to summarize my summer in just a phrase, but I can't so I will show you some pictures of it.

PD: I did a movie maker, but I can't postit on the blog. I don't know why!!

A"TRIP"TO LA SEU D'URGELL (Last day)

We wake up at half past eight and at nine we went to have breakfast. In the dining room we found the guys from the basketball team and after the breakfast we talked about our plans during the day. At eleven am, more or less, we went to the music school and then we wen t do a guided tour in la Seu d'Urgell. We visited the Cathedral, a museu, the Segre Park and some old streets. After the tour we returned to the music school and there we had lunch all together as a big "family". At three pm more or less wetook the bus and we came back. At seven pm all our parents were waiting for us in l'Escala.

And that was all our tip!

A"TRIP"TO LA SEU D'URGELL (2nd day)

When we woke up we went to have breakfast and then we went to the music school. There we met the other choir and they showed us their music school. After the visit, we started the recelhals. We spend the whole morning prepearing the songs for the afternoon concert. At two pm we finished the recerhals and we went to have lunch with the guys from the other choir. After eating we had some free time and we went to do a little tour around la Seu d'Urgell. After the minitour we went to a church to do the concert. The concert was amazing, we did an awsome work. After the concert we had an snack and then we went to la Salle to reast. At ten we went to have dinner and in the dining room we met a basketball team. At eleven pm we went to a pub were we met the guys from the other choir. At one am we arrived to la Salle, and the oldest in the choir (Marina Costa, Homa Baldeh, Alicia Robles and I) we wen to wake up the boys from the basketball team. We were speaking until three am. After this we went to sleep.

A"TRIP" TO LA SEU D'URGELL (1st day)

I don't know what more I can explain as a "your-say" but I think that it will be nice to explain my trip to la Seu d'Urgell. The 27th, 28th and 29th of April, we went to la Seu d'Urgell on a choir meeting. I went there with the choir where I sing in l'Escala. We left the Frithay 27th at 6pm from l'Escala, and we went there by bus. We arrived in la Seu d'Urgell at 11pm; we could arrive earlier, but we had to stop in the half of the trip because everybofy was dizzy. When we arrived there we went imediately to la Salle (we were sleeping there). We left our luggage in the hall and we went to have dinner. After dinner we took our suitcases and we went imediately to sleep. We had an awful night because the youngests boys in the choir were awake during all night and they were running up and down the corredor, so we couldn't sleep well.

HOW TO COOK SPAGETTI WITH CARBONARA SAUCE

To cook spagetti with carbonara sauce you need some esnetial ingredients and materials: spagetty, bacon, liquid cream, a frying pan and a pot.

First you have to put water inside the put until the water boils. When the water starts boiling you have to add the spagettis in the boiling water.

While the spagettis are boiling you can start doing the sauce.

To do the sauce, first you have to put the bacon in the frying pan, and fry it with high fire. When the bacon is fryed you can add the liquid cream and shake it slowly. When it starts boiling you have to slow dow the fire and conitnue shaking. After that you have to turn off the fire ande leave it until it dense.

While you are doing teh sauce you have to shake the pasta until it is cooked. After that you have to ------ the spagettis, put them on a bowl and mix the mith the carbonara sauce.

MY PASSION, THE F1 RACES.

Every Sunday morning I wake up very nervous just to sit in front of the TV to watch the formula one race. I get this passion from my mother. I've been watching races since I was very young. When I was little my fabourite driver was Michael Schumaher but when he dropped out I became supporting Fernando Alonso, even when he was Hamilton's team mate.
Louis Hamilton is the driver that I hate the most. He is very polite when he talks to the press but when he rides he is very very rude. He is always trying to push the other cars off the road. The other driver that I hate is Vettel, he thinks he is such a big head.
All in all I would say that I will continue watching the races although there are some rude pilots.

A REFLECTION ABOUT MY FIRST YEAR IN BATXILLERAT

I'm thinking about my first year in batxillerat. It has been a wonderful year with plenty of exciting situations. We started on the 12th of Setember, I was very scared and I couldn't sleep during the whole night. 

My first tern was horryble, I didn't study anuthing and I failed six subjects, Maths, Spanish, Economy, Business, Philosophy and PE. During th second term I could retake all my subjects unless Philosophy. The second term I just failed two subjects, Maths and Philosophy, and during the third term I could retake both.

Now I'm happy with my results, I colud have better marks because I'm not studying much but I feel proud of myself.

Next year I will have to start teh year studying very hard because I don't want to stay here another year.

A LITTLE HISTORY

It was three o'cock in the afternoon when the phone rang. I answered and it was Lluís telling me that Pere's dog, Bobby, had desapeared. He explained to me that Pere lended him the dog while he was on holidays so then he told me that I had to help him to find Bobby.

I told to Lluís when was the last time he had seen the dog and he answered that he had seen him like two hours before. I imediately went to Lluís house to start to look for the dog. We ran all over the town trying to find the dog, but it wasn't anywhere.

When we finished to look in every place in the town, we went back to Lluís house to wait if the dog appeared.

While we were in the house we started to hear some noises, we run up the stairs and we heard that the noise came from the guest's room, we opened the door and it was Bobby. Then Lluís remembered that he put Bobby in that room because the dog was making some noise and he couldn't hear the TV.

I WENT ON A TV SHOW (invented story)

I have been on a TV show called Dance 4 all and it was the best experience i've ever had.

Before it started I was feeling very nervous, and the other contestants too. Then the presenter, Pepa Evans, came in and told us that we had not to worry.

When I went out on stage, everyone was clapping. I've never felt so excited and nervous. Before the music started playing, I began to wonder if I had done well to participate on thet contest. When I finished everyone clapped and cheered me. It was the most eciing experience I've ever had.

I won the contest, so I won 10000euros and a grant to study dance in the best school of arts in the world.

In the future, I wolud like to go to another TV Show.
